When the water in the stream
Is not looking too clean,
And the forest is invaded
By species not native,
What can you do?

When forest soil smothers the reef,
Stealing habitat like a muddy thief,
And the fresh water supply
Is in danger of running dry,
What can you do?

Pull invasive weeds, write a letter.
Clean it, green it; seek what's better!
Pick up a shovel, grab the phone,
Join other kids, you're not alone!
Take Action!!

Join other kids who are taking action to care for their communities and participate in Moanalua Gardens Foundation's Hawaii Needs Care Contest. Winners receive a $500 prize and a chance to share their project on television. If you need help getting started, check out the Winners' projects and see the many ways you can take action for the environment!
